Rosario Islands: Hotel Kokomo
Islas del Rosario is an archipelago consisting of 27 island located 20 nauitical miles from Cartagena. The travel time is between 45 minutes and an hour depending the conditions and speed of the boat.
Hotel Kokomo is located on the biggest island, Isla Grande, in Cano Raton. We have a bar, restaurant, saltwater swimming pool, and seven cabins with bathrooms and fans. We also have three rooms with common bathrooms in the mainhouse. We can accommodate a total of 40 guests.
We speak English, Spanish, Norwegian, Danish, German and Swedish.
There is a small private beach. There is an aquarium with a dolpinshow and species of sealife from all over the Caribbean 5 minutes from the hotel($4US entrance fee). There is also an aviario where the entrance is free. We can arrange for scubadiving, snorkeling and local excursions to secluded beaches. Also we can arrange fishing trips and large parties at night. Just ask and we will do our best to accomidate you.
The waters are some of the cleanest and clearest in the Caribbean. During the dry season we have reefs where the visiibility is more than a hundred feet only a couple of minutes from the hotel. Security is excellent , there is a navy base and a coast guard station as neighbors.  The food is international with a local taste if so desired. We cater to eco tourism and can arrange specific trips with guides for them. Also adventuretourism can be arranged if desired.
We are recommended by Lonely Planet. The hotel has its own launch that transports the guests back and forth from Cartagena. We also offer transport to and from Playa Blanca as well as mercado bazurto. Feel free to contact us for further information!
For backpackers we have a special menu, we can accommodate guests in hammocks if desired.
